Robert E. (Bob) White, 82, of Endicott, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 11, 2024 at Elderwood at Waverly after an extended illness.
He is predecease by his daughter, Tina M. Felt, his parents, four brothers and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Frances L. White. A daughter Cindy (Mike) Hollister, grandson Kevin (Chelsea) Kolly, step grandson Adam (Jessica) Felt, good friend Sonny Devivo and a person forever part of the family Ken Felt.
Bob retired as a manager of 26 years from The Matthews Auto Group which he enjoyed and felt great pride.
He had many nicknames but his most well known was Captain Quail - after the “Bob White Bird”. He was a generous man who loved to hunt, fish and “TRY” to play golf. He loved to spend his summers at his camp on the St. Lawrence River. He could always be found riding his mo-ped with his mini pincher Turbo riding in the front basket, riding in his golf cart or fishing on his boat at sunset.
Anyone who knew Bob knew he was quite the jokester. He was often called the puppet master.
A special thank you to the staff on the 4th floor at Elderwood for the compassionate care given to Bob over the past 6 months.
He will be truly missed! We will miss his smile, his sense of humor and his BIG heart.
