Robert “Bob” Woiccak

d. December 31, 2022

Robert “Bob” Woiccak, 82, passed into the loving grace of God after living with Parkinson’s and dementia for 9 years.
Friends and family knew Bob as an avid golfer, gardener, stamp collector, handyman and tinkerer, fisherman, stock market watcher, volunteer, and Boston Red Sox fan. Most importantly, he was a loving and generous husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, friend, and role model.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Constance, and infant son, Peter Anthony . He is survived by two siblings, his brother, Ed (Terry) and sister, Mary (Nicholas). He is also survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Susan, and his loving children and their spouses Rob (Meredith), Tom (Lorraine), Jennifer (Bob), Christopher (Brenda), Ed (Jennifer) and Mary Beth. He was loved by his 15 grandchildren, who endearingly called him Papa and Papa NuNu.
Bob earned an electrical engineering degree from Clarkson University and worked with IBM as a programmer and technical writer for 36 years. He served his church as an usher and Eucharistic minister at St. Ambrose Parish. He volunteered his time and talents to the community at Meals on Wheels, the local soup kitchen, Broome County Catholic schools, and AARP as a tax preparation aide. He also served in the Air National Guard.
His wife and family were his pride and joy, but getting 3 holes in one came pretty close.
His family extends their deepest gratitude to Bob’s exceptional aides, Henry, Angel, and Yolanda and physical therapists, Jen and Cathy.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10 am at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Sunday from 3-6 pm.
