Robert Young

Robert C Young, 76 of Apalachin, New York passed away on February 22, 2023.
Younger was born on December 17, 1946 in Endicott, NY. After graduating from Union-Endicott High School in 1966 he attended Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY. Following this he served in the US Army, stationed in Germany and earning the rank of Sergeant. He then spent over 20 years as a branch manager in the trucking business.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathie (Pawlowski), his two sons Corey and Michael Young, and by his brothers Roger (Connie)Young, Donald (Linda) Young, and sister Vicky (Gary) Iannon, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Linda (Chuck) Nichols, his parents Howard and Muriel (Stone) Young and his beloved dogs Shasta and Jacey.
An exceptional athlete, it has been said that the only thing faster than his legs was his mouth. (As exhibited at Sunday Basketball and on the golf course.) His friend Fred said it best: “Bob was our escape from reality. Just comedy-like banter, probably objectionable to outsiders who didn’t know him, but refreshing humor to those who did.”
Most of all he was a great father.
Services will be held on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 from 2-4 at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott.The family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to the charity of your choice or perform an act of kindness.
