Roger Searles

Roger Searles, 92, of Endicott, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice, parents Ellsworth and Nina Searles, and brother Clifford Searles. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather to his two daughters Linda (Bob) Struble and Sandy (Don) Moran, all of Endicott; his grandchildren Kevin; Erin and Corey; great grandchildren Sydney; Eli and Seth; also several nieces and nephews and friends. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Endicott and a retired IBM Corp employee and member of its Quarter Century Club. Roger was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a life-time member of the NRA, member of the American Legion Post 1700, the Square Deal Sportsmen Club, New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, the Smithsonian Institute and supported many other non-profit organizations.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Tuesday 7:30 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Dr. Michelle Bouge-Trost, Pastor of his church officiating. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4:30 pm until service time at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the American Legion Post 1700, 305 Maple Street, Endicott, NY 13760.
