Ronald “Ron” William Saxe of Endicott, passed away in the early morning of Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 69 after a long illness. He worked for IBM for 30 years before retiring. After Ron retired, he worked part-time at RGIS until the onset of his illness. He met Denise Hranek while she was temping at IBM and she became the love of his life. They were married for 44 years where they raised two daughters together, Heather and Ashley.
Ron loved to bowl and received a 300 ring for bowling a perfect game. He was also an avid golfer and played in an IBM slow pitch league. Ron was a huge fan of both the New York Giants and the New York Yankees and could often be heard cheering (or yelling) at the games while watching them on television. While growing up in the family home, Ron was very active and loved playing games with his brothers and sister. Some of these included; badminton, touch football, darts and all kinds of card and board games. In his earlier years, he loved spending time out with his friends playing or watching sports, then became more of a homebody after having his daughters and loved to be home with his family. He was a man full of hope, which was evident in the fact that he played the lottery every day of his life until he was no longer able to. Ron was such a warm hearted man. He easily got along with everyone he met and didn’t have an enemy in the world.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Alice Saxe of Brackney, PA. He is survived by his wife, Denise; daughters, Heather Howard and Ashley Biscardi; sons-in-law, Ryan Howard and Brandon Biscardi; grandchildren, Westley and Landon Howard, Ari and Nolan Biscardi; in-laws, Stephen, Marlene and Michelle Hranek and siblings, Gerald Saxe, Sandra Saxe and Robert Saxe.
The family would like to thank Lourdes at Home and all of the amazing friends and family who cared for Ron over the last years of his life. You truly touched all of us and made his life that much better just by being in it.
A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society at 167 Conklin Ave, Binghamton, NY or the American Heart Association.
