Rosa “Rosetta” Campanile Vitale, passed away on October 10, 2021 in Schenectady, NY, after an extended illness. She was born on November 29, 1929 to Francesco and Silvia Campanile in Caserta, Italy. Rosetta was an active member of Church of the Holy Family. She lived her faith by loving God first and then by taking care of her loved ones and serving her church family. Rosetta was a woman of many talents, yet she was best known for her baking abilities. She had incredible work ethics, whether helping out in her family restaurant in Italy or managing her catering business. Rosetta is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Michael Vitale; and by her brothers Michele and Domenico. She is survived by her niece Maria Rosaria Campanile Minneci of Palmdale, California; her niece Loredana Campanile Haeger & her husband John, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and by her nephew Francesco Campanile and his wife, Erin, of Denver, Colorado.
Calling hours will be held at 10 a.m. on October 18, 2021 at the Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Masks required at both. Rosetta will be laid to final rest with her husband Michael at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. Celebrant of the Mass will be Father Clarence Rumble. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N McKinley Ave, Endicott, 13760.
