Rosemary M. Carlson, 72, died at Elizabeth Church Manor December 2, 2014 after a long battle with lung cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald J. Carlson of Endicott, New York. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Kissimmee Florida; son, Jeffrey Jones and daughter-in-law, Lynne Jones of Endicott, New York; sister, Sharon Drewitt and brother-in-law Robert Drewitt of Georgetown, Texas; step-children, Diane Connors of Endwell, New York, Christopher Carlson of Round Rock, Texas and Dave Carlson of Trumansburg, New York, and their families; grandchildren, Zachary and Justine Johnson of Wappingers Falls, New York, Jordan and David Jones, of Endicott, New York; niece, Tracy Drewitt of Round Rock, Texas; and nephew, Nicholas Drewitt of Cedar Park Texas; nephew David Allen of Brewerton, New York; and many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rosemary received her nursing degree from St. James in Hornell, New York and thereafter was employed at Ideal Hospital, Endicott, at a private Pediatrician Practice in Binghamton, was the Director of Patient Services at Tioga Family Planning in Owego, and was a substitute nurse with the UE school district until she fell ill. A life-time lover of music and singing, Rosemary and Don were both proud members of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and Choir, The German Club and the BC Pops to name a few. During the course of her illness, Rosemary was comforted by countless family members, friends and neighbors. Special mention is also made for Ghislane and Fitzroy Stewart, Helga and Joe Alvarez, Theresa Resavy, Toni Herman, Lucy Cronk, Pauline Witt, her card club and her beloved Pine Knoll Road friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 4-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made in Rosemary Carlson’s name to the American Cancer Society.
