Ruth Ann Morenus

Ruth Ann Morenus of Port Crane, NY, 85, went home to be with the Lord on 1/24/22 after a brief illness. Ruth was born in Coraopolis, PA on 2/11/36. She was predeceased by her parents Herman and Marie Maier, sisters Ellen Hudson, Charlotte St. John and longtime companion Les Platt. Ruth is survived by sons Ron (Kelly), Gary (Amy); grandchildren Tyler (Brittany), McKenzie (Dan) DeZordo, Kyle, Kara (fiancé Ryan Stallsworth), Kristen (Joe) Perrett and four great-grandchildren; sister Doris Gorzoch, several nieces, nephews, and also by dear and loving friends especially Margie Platt & family and Pat Winfield. Ruth worked 35 years in the library of SUNY Binghamton, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed staying busy in the community, was actively involved in her church, Port Crane Senior Group, Red Hat Glorious Grannies, TOPS, and Coop Crafts. Her hobbies included solving puzzles from boxes and in books, collecting turtles and Hummels, reading, playing cards and enjoying meals out with her many friends. Flowers will be graciously provided.
A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 83 Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905 on Saturday, 2/5/22 with a visitation hour at 1pm and service at 2pm.
