Ruth Zeccola

Ruth B. Zeccola of Endwell, NY, left this life on June 11, 2017 at the age of 82. She was the widow of Richard A. Zeccola and the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Bauermeister) Bork of Erie, PA. She is survived by her five children: Mark and Marcie, Matthew and Candace, Maureen and Marc, Mike, Martin and Monica, and seven grandchildren: Abigail, Madison, Malena, Zachary, Jacob, Mitchell and Maximiliano, as well as many dear, lifelong friends. Ruth was a devoted wife for nearly fifty years, caring for Richard in health and sickness. Together they raised five rambunctious children, somehow managing the chaos. She was the epitome of motherhood; loving and selfless, doing any and all she could for her family and friends, right up until the end. To her grandchildren she was Oma, the funnest, most imaginative and warmest playmate any child could want. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her limitless generosity, boundless love, steely determination, great sense of humor, and positive impact she had on all our lives.
A memorial wake will be held at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott, Thursday, June 22nd, from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 23rd starting at the AllenMemorial Home at 9:30 am for the procession, with a 10 am Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott.
