Sally Linko, 76, of Endicott, died at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Thursday, July 19, 2018 after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband, Tom and brothers, Larry, David and James, as well as brothers-in-law, Ed Kineke and Al Buchinsky. Sally is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Steven Woodard, Cortland, NY; three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Kerriann, Phoenixville, PA, Matthew and Amy Sage, Johnson City and Adam and Marjorie, Livingston Manor, NY; her grandchildren, Cameron, Jack, James, Katie, Liam, Will, Quinn and Emme; sisters, Judy McCarthy, Joyce Kineke and Mary Sue McDevitt; brothers, Allen and Mark; sisters-in-law, Julia Buchinsky, Lillian, Rita and Bonnie; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, and a retired teacher’s aide for the U-E School District, spending many years assisting in a Kindergarten classroom. Sally could often be found reading, watching old movies and enjoying lunch with her dear friends, Barbara Becker and Judy Welch, who supported and stayed by her side until her last day. She loved trips to Cape Cod to visit her sisters, but she most loved time spent with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Susquehanna Nursing Center.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at Saint Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Koskta Cemetery, Maine. The family will receive friends at church Wednesday from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am.
