Sandra Bimmler

Sandra J. Bimmler, age 75, of Endwell NY passed away at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing after an extended illness on 12/14/23. Sandra is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Kerri (Chris), son Greg (Amie), daughter Kelcie (Torrey), and grandchildren Tyler, Colin, Emily, Arabella, Leonardo, Salvatore, Dillon and Spencer, and very special friends Christy, Sandy, Joyce, the Whitney Point gang, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, and both of her sisters.
Sandra was the center of the family and the family was always foremost in her life. She was an incredibly strong woman that loved life. She would try anything and was usually good at whatever she did. Later in life her favorite thing was spending time on our boat at Cayuga Lake. It was never about the boat or the lake, but the people there and especially her grandkids. She was a very attentive grandmother, always going to their sports and events. She always had pets around, most famously the very talented African Grey that could keep everyone entertained for hours. She was a card player, a league winning racquetball player, mother/daughter bowling league winner, tennis player, a walker and a runner, and not a bad golfer. She liked fishing and tent camping, and loved spending time around the campfire with the Whitney Point gang. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and bingo with her sister in her spare time. Sandra loved working at the Hallmark store at the Oakdale Mall, loved the people there. She would have worked for free but we never told them that. She will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 20th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Avenue, Endicott. The family will Receive friends at church Wednesday the 20th from 10 am until service time at 12 pm.

The family wishes to recognize the contributions to Sandra’s care over the last several years; most specifically Fresenius Kidney Care in Binghamton, various groups in the United Health Services group, including Dr. Jayaraman and his office, and especially the staff on the 3rd floor and the dialysis clinic at Bridgewater. Special thanks to Katie, Bonnie, April, Shakira, Cara, Julia, Brenda, and Kahya.
