Sandra K. Hall

October 15, 1948 — January 25, 2025

Sandra Kay (Justice) Hall, 76, passed away on January 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 15, 1948, in Logansport Indiana, she was the firstborn child of Benjamin and Patricia (Guckien) Justice and was one of three children (Michael Justice and Jill Langford).
On August 1, 1970, Sandra married Harold, her high school sweetheart, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Their journey as a family was anchored in their cherished Victorian home in Addison, New York, where they raised their children, William (born in 1976) and Sara (born in 1980).
Sandra graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1971 with a master’s degree in English. She and her husband Harold moved to Sodus where Harold taught English and where Sandra was an English Instructor at the Eastman School of Music. Upon moving to Addison, Sandra taught English at Elmira College and earned a second masters in adult higher education. Sandra subsequently was hired as an English professor at Corning Community College.
Sandra’s professional life as an English professor at Corning Community College was marked by her passion for education and her commitment to helping students reach their potential. In addition to her teaching career, Sandra became a published author after undergoing two brain surgeries. In her book, “As long as I’m down here… I might as well put on my shoes”, she wrote about her experience and the importance of advocating for one’s health, leaving behind a powerful legacy of strength and resilience.
After retiring, Sandra and Harold moved to a peaceful home on Lake Ontario, later relocating to Binghamton, NY, to be closer to their beloved grandchildren, Emerson and Lincoln.
Sandra was an avid volunteer. She supported the Addison Youth Center with her time and leadership. She was a member of the Sodus Rotary Club serving as president for a year. One of Sandra’s most beloved volunteer ventures was working as a Literacy Volunteer where she supported a group of Haitian immigrants prepare for their citizenship test. One they all passed with pride.
Sandra’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Hall; her son, William (Ashley) Hall; her daughter, Sara (Carol) Hall; her grandchildren, Emerson and Lincoln; and her siblings and many other extended family members that she loved dearly. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Patricia Justice as well as her parents-in-law (Milton and Roslyn).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
