Shirley Griffin

Shirley J. Griffin, 86, of Endwell passed into the waiting arms of our Father July 21, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Charles; parents Truman and Hazel Whitaker; brother Truman Whitaker; sister, Doris (Bill) Cox and son in law Douglas Pierce. She is survived by her loving daughters Gale (Joe) Pizzuti and Kathy Pierce; grandchildren Michael and Jackie Owen, Joey and Jackie Pizzuti; six great grandchildren; sister in law Liz Whitaker; niece Joan and Jack Canfield; nephew Tim Whitaker and close friends Doris Davis; Perry and Sherry Griffith and Joan Behil. Mom loved her garden, shopping and most of all spending time with her family. We would like to thank the staff at JGJ Nursing Center for their loving and compassionate care of our mother.

At mom’s request, private services were held. Mom was laid to rest next to our father at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis. TN 38105.
