Stanley T. Blazavich, 82, of Endicott went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family Friday, February 7, 2014. He was predeceased by a son, Stanley (Rick) Blazavich; parents, Alex and Mary Blazavich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alex and Betty, Joe and Jolene, Paul and Sue, Ed and John; sister and two brothers-in-law, Mary and John Sirochman and Harry Boyer; son-in-law, Barry Tanner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sophie Blazavich; two daughters and son-in-law, Deanna Tanner, Florida and Andrea and Vince Sorrentino, Endwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lori Blazavich, Endicott and David and Kelly Blazavich, Endicott; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Anne Boyer, Clymer, PA; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Blazavich, Indiana, PA and Mary Blazavich, Marion Center, PA; many nieces and nephews. Stanley was a member of Church of The Holy Family. He was a retired employee of Sodexo where he worked in food service management for over 40 years at Binghamton University. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lifetime member of B.P.O.E. #1977, Endicott. He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of The Holy Family at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 pm. The B.P.O.E. #1977 will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow Service Tuesday evening at 6:45 pm. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Stanley may be made to Food for the Poor, P.O. Box 979005, Coconut Creek, Florida 33097.
