Stanley “Stan” Pawlowski

Stanley J. Pawlowski (Pop Pop), 88, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday August 13, 2017. He passed peacefully at his home, with his family by his side. Stan was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (Manchak) Pawlowski. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Teresa (Zembek), 3 children: Cindy (Sedlak), Mike, and John Pawlowski, and eight grandchildren: Joe and Chelsea Sedlak, Scott, Megan, Kevin, Christine, Mary-Louise, and Jenny Pawlowski, his sister Wanda Dekar, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stan graduated from Johnson City High School, Johnson City, NY, and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the New York State Department of Transportation, and after his retirement, worked for the Binghamton Mets for 22 years, until he was 84. Stan could build or fix anything. He was a strong athlete in his younger years, playing basketball and picked up golf later on in his life. Stan was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, now merged into Church of the Holy Trinity.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10 am at Church of the Holy Trinity Church, 346 Prospect Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church Saturday from 8:30 am until Mass time at 10 am.
