Sylvia (Brewster, Sechrist) Kohut 84, of Vestal. And God will wipe away every tear from her eyes; There shall be no more death nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. January 21, 2015 Sylvia began her new life and was welcomed by her husband Rudolf Kohut, her brother Arthur Brewster, her sons Jeffery and Paul Sechrist, her parents Paul and Laura Brewster. Her first husband Fay Sechrist was there to greet her as was her son-in-law Arthur Conklin. She leaves behind her three daughters and their spouses, Grace and Mark Deno, Forest Lake, PA.; Laura and Ted Race, Binghamton; Faye and Arthur Belles, Endicott, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, sister-in-law Beatrice Brewster. While she will be greatly missed by all, her memory remains eternal. This disease has taken her memories bit by bit…It will never take her from our hearts. Special thank you to all the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the wonderful care and love that Sylvia received there.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Sunday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend David Seaver officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Sunday from 12 pm until service time at 1 pm.
