Thomas M. Campanella, 58, of Binghamton, NY, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 18th, 2021. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas A. Campanella and May Campanella, daughter, Sandra Campanella, and his niece, Danielle Campanella.
He is survived by his two daughters, Alisha Campanella (Ryan C. Williams), Genevieve Campanella (William Wares), a grandson, Ryan Thomas Williams, his brother, Joseph Campanella (Elizabeth Campanella), two nieces, Megan Smith, Gabrielle Campanella, a nephew Brandon Wojdat (Kaitlyn Wojdat), and a great-niece Aubrey Wojdat.
Tom was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Apalachin, NY. He was a graduate of Vestal High School, class of 1981. He was a Varsity Wrestler and a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Kentucky and Hawaii. He was a carpenter by trade and worked as a general contractor, owning his own business. Truthfully, he was a man of many talents and he used those talents to help the people around him. He was known as a master of his trade, and it was said that he had hands of gold. He was always working on a project with an eye for perfection, whether it was building custom motorcycles, furniture, or roofing, he always added that special touch to truly make a project more than just a job, but a work of art.
He lived life on his own terms and followed his own rules. Even still, you could always count on Tom in a moment’s notice to offer a lending hand or give advice. He had a giving heart and his generosity is known by many. He loved music, which could be heard from a distance. He enjoyed working on his projects in the garage, gambling, gardening, golfing, and he recently took a cross country motorcycle tour of the United States. He had many life-long friends that he cherished, including his best friend, his brother, Joe. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and took great pride in his daughters and his grandson, who added a new light to his life.
