Thomas M. Howe, 48, of Schenectady died on Monday, February 10, 2014. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Howe, sister, Kristine Merry, grandmothers, Anna Howe and Louise Kearns. Tom is survived by his loving family- mother, Frances Howe of Endicott, brother, Daniel (Terri Smith) Howe, sisters, Suzanne (Bill) Balles, Donna (Ron Ferguson) Forsyth, Pat (Edward) Schappert, Carol (Richard) Zane, Nancy (Dan) Sullivan, and Mary (Dan) Ryder, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. After living at home with his family for 14 years, Tom became a resident at Broome Developmental Center. After five years, he was transferred to a special autism unit at the O.D. Heck Developmental Center in Schenectady. Tom treasured visits with his loved ones and charmed us all with his unique ways. He enriched the lives of all who were lucky enough to know and love him. Tom will be forever missed by us all. We wish to thank the staff at O.D. Heck, who have lovingly cared for him these many years.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 10 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Father Donald Bourgeois, Pastor of St. Ambrose Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 9 am until service time at 10 am.
