Thomas Kearney

Thomas J. Kearney, 81, of Endwell died at his residence, Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years Ann B. (Nancy) Kearney, Endwell; his brother James and Ruth Kearney; his parents Thomas J. and Frances (O’Malley) Kearney; and his son-in-law William Bednar. He is survived by his children Kevin J. and Susan Kearney, Fairport, NY; Kathleen and Michael O’Brien and Maureen Bednar, all of Endwell, NY; Thomas J. and Ann Marie Kearney, Fairport, NY; his grandchildren Colleen Kearney, Michelle and Stephen Betler, and Eric Kearney; Michael, Maeghan, Erin and Maura O’Brien; Keishelle Balles and Jori Zimmerman; Aidan and Thomas J. (T.J.) Kearney IV; his cousins Mariel McGoff and Rev. Thomas O’Malley; his great grandchildren Irelan and Kade Harris; and also many nieces and nephews. He was a member of The Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. He was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School Class of 1953, and a graduate of The University of Scranton. He retired from IBM Federal Systems Division, Owego after many years of service. He was an avid sportsman, recreational trap and skeet shooter, and wood carver. He knew most things, and could fix anything.

Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:15 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family at 10 am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 3-6 pm.
