Thomas "Tom" Strausser

Thomas Leon Strausser, 86, of Endicott, NY formerly of Bloomsburg, PA passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Surviving Tom is his loving wife of 64 years, Gay Ann (Heaps) Strausser. Also surviving Tom are his daughters, Gail Strausser and her partner Dodie, Kim Koukides and her husband Marc, and Lisa Walburger and family, grandchildren Ethan, Stephanie (Kurt), Kayla (Braedon) as well as great grandchildren Jack, Fay, Owen, Benjamin and Eva. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty (LaRue) Beishline and brother Fred (Mary) Strausser. Tom was born on September 20, 1937 in Bloomsburg, PA to the late Leon and Miriam (Troy) Strausser. Tom graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1955. Tom served in the Air Force after high school. He retired from IBM in Endicott, NY as a Senior Systems Analyst. Tom was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a past quarter master of the VFW in Catawissa, PA where he also served on their honor guard. He served as a past president of the Spirit of ’76 Fife and Drum Corp of Endicott, NY. He was a member of the IBM Century Club. Tom was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and camp with his family. He will be greatly missed.
