Virginia Annese

On October 10, 2017, at the age of 99 Virginia M. (Lacatena) Annese was led by angels to be with the Lord in her eternal home. Virginia was born on September 8, 1918 in Utica, NY currently lives in Saratoga Springs, NY and formerly spent 91 years in Endicott, NY. Virginia was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Lucy Lacatena, her in-laws Frank and Livia Annese, brothers Jack Lacatena, Victor and Lilian Lacatena, sisters Anne and Frank Marano, Josephine and Frank Busshaus, daughter in law Lori Annese, husband of 64 years Dominick Annese and beloved great grandson Frank LoRe. Survived by children Frank and Dominica Annese, Anthony Annese, Linda and Larry Fiedler and Dominick and Charlene Annese, sister in law Justine Lacatena, 10 precious grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, many dear nieces, nephews and friends. At age 91 Virginia moved to Clifton Park and then Saratoga to be closer to her son Frank and most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia loved Saratoga and was happy there but her heart belonged in Endicott. She missed her friends and church very much. Virginia was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and missed being with friends at all the church activities. Virginia helped many people during her life and always did this silently, never wanting to be given credit for her generous work. She worked as a salesperson for 20 years at various stores on Washington Ave. and retired from IBM after 20 years of service.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Virginias life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, at noon on Monday, October 16th. Friends may call between 10 am to 11:45 am at the church.
