Virginia (Ginny) McCawley passed away peacefully December 10th at Mercy House, surrounded by her loving children. Originally from Jersey City, Ginny met her loving husband Jack, while he was working at his family’s Ice Cream Shop, in Carbondale, PA. A retail, sales professional, Ginny’s true passion was interior design and country crafts. Well known for her crafting ability and eclectic style, Ginny also pursued a love of Dragonflies. Her artistry will be missed, yet cherished for years to come. Ginny is predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) McCawley, her
parents (Francis and Mary), as well as her infant son Kevin and her beloved dog, Casey. She is survived by her four children, Lynne, Brian, Christopher (Kelly), and Colleen (David); as well as six grandchildren, Justin, Sean, Meghan, Jonathan, Olivia and Amelia, and four great grandchildren Luke, Olivia, Mallory and Jack. Ginny is also survived by her caretaker and confidant, Linda LaBrake.
A celebration of Ginny’s life will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, on Saturday January 14th at 11am. This will be followed by a luncheon at the Beer Tree Factory (Oakdale Mall).
