Dr. Werner L. Lipman, MD, 102 of Endwell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends Sunday, May 4, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley A. Lipman; sister, Ingrid (Werner) Heiman; niece, Teri and her two sons, Scott and Daniel; special family James and Karen Reese, Jason and Kristi Reese and their son Jaxon. Werner was a graduate of Bonn University, Germany in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II serving the United States Army Medical Corps. Werner was a retired family doctor and Medical Director for student services at Binghamton University. He was a member of the A.A.F.P., former staff member of United Health Services and member of the B.P.O.E., and the F.M.C.A.
Memorial Services Thursday at 3:30 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Reverend Christine J. Day, Pastor of All Saints Episcopal Church, Johnson City, officiating. Burial will be in the All Saints Memorial Garden, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Thursday from 2 pm until service time at 3:30 pm. In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Werner’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
