William “Dooley” Dwyer

William J. “Dooley” Dwyer Sr., age 90, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2017, surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Mae Dwyer; brothers Art, Dickie and Bobby; sisters Dorothy, Jerry and Frana; and son-in-law Jed Maloney. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Irene Dwyer; his daughter Denise Maloney and sons Dan (Peggy), Bill Jr. (Carolyn), & Jim (Constance); his grandchildren Nicholas, Brian, Mark, Shannon, Geoff, Kelly, Jes, Billy III, Nikolette and Christina; his sisters Betty Cooper and Barbara Jean Townsend; and several nieces and nephews. He is a Navy Veteran who served on the USS Miami in WWII. Bill and Irene were the proud owners of Dooley’s Inn located on the Northside of Endicott from 1960 to 1985 where Dooley entertained many of you with his quick wit and humor which lasted through his final days. The courage displayed as he fought his battle with cancer will forever be an inspiration to his family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 4-7pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mercy House 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
