William “Bill” Hinrichsen

William (Bill) Hinrichsen passed away peacefully in his home on March 7, 2023. Bill was predeceased by his wife Zelia Hinrichsen, parents Hans and Edna Hinrichsen, sister Audrey Peters, and granddaughter Jennie Bennett.
Bill is survived by his loving children Randall Hinrichsen (Vestal,NY), Jeffrey Hinrichsen (Vestal, NY), Terence and wife Susan Hinrichsen (Vestal, NY), Brian Hinrichsen (Vestal, NY), Lori and husband Robert Bennett (Vestal, NY) Wendy (Hinrichsen) Frank (Burke, NY); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
In his early years Bill worked as a car salesman, dairy farmer, driving school bus part-time for the town of Vestal, and drove milk truck. Bill worked for over forty years at Tier Parts Warehouse before retiring at the age of 83. Bill was never one to sit idle, working and helping friends, neighbors and strangers. He saw the best in people, enjoyed making people smile, he loved running his tractors and planting large gardens. Bill baled hay with his children every year. Bill would say that his greatest joy and accomplishment in his life was his children, he was a constant presence in his children’s lives supporting, encouraging and teaching.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 pm on Friday March 10, 2023 at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 E. Main St. Endicott, NY 13760. Visitation will be held from 11 am until the service at 12 pm. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
