William T. Purcell (Bill), 93, of Endwell, passed away peacefully in the early morning of August 29, 2021 at Lourdes Hospital. Bill was born in Troy, NY and was the son of the late William and Mae Purcell. He was predeceased by his sister Mary and his son Bill. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 66 years Dorothy, their children Mary (Brad) Bond, Lynn Lasky, Kathleen (Jimmy) Medovich, Patty Purcell, Joanne (John) Lomasney, John (Kristen) Purcell, his grandchildren Bill, Kyle (Annie), Erin, Nick, Sara, Reiley, Lucas and Elaina, his great grandchildren Kelly, Emily, Molly, Brennan, Logan and Lucian and his brother Tim. Bill graduated from Sienna College and served in the U.S. Army where he met several friends that he stayed in contact with throughout his life. Bill worked at General Electric for 25 years and 25 years for the Navy as a Naval Engineer. Bill was a member of Our Lady of Angels/Church of the Holy Family where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. Family meant the world to Bill and he treasured every birthday, anniversary and holiday with the entire family documenting each occasion with several pictures. And we can’t forget his infamous cook outs, Greenwood park will never be the same! One of his favorite past times was sharing stories of his antics growing up especially with the grandchildren and great grandchildren (babies always tugged on his heart strings). His memory would put every young person to shame. Bill will be greatly missed by all of us. We would like to thank all of the nurses at Lourdes and a special thank you to Nikki.
