Zenon J. Janowski, 88, of Endwell passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Tekla; brothers Andrew and Emil, and a sister Mother Mary Viterbia. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Mary Alice, sister in law Helen Rega, nephews and nieces Andrew (Iren) Dyka, Daniel (Patricia) Rega, Michael (Ann) Rega, Mary Jo (Craig) Norman and Bec Dyka, great nephew A.J. (Tas) Dyka and Goddaughter Ann (Tom) Christoffel.
Zenon was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. In his 29 years as an English teacher in Chenango Valley High School he sponsored student extra curricular activities in the audiovisual career fields. He still held a FCC amateur radio license W2JRI. He was a graduate of Newark Valley High School, with a NYS Regents Scholarship, earned his BA from Harpur College and his MA degree from Syracuse University. Zenon served as a Lieutenant in the Naval Air Corps Airborne Early Warning Squadron assigned to Newfoundland and Argentia, when the Russian patrol interest were active in those areas.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. To Live Stream www.holyfamilyendwell and click on “Watch Mass”.
