Agnes (Fiacco) Silvestri, age 89, of Endicott passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4th, 2018. She was married for 66 years to her husband George, who predeceased her three and a half years ago. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ettore and Carmela Fiacco, father-in-law Lorenzo and Guglielma Silvestri, brother Dario (Natalina) Fiacco and nephew John Fiacco, her sister Tommasina (Domenico) Silvestri and nephew Giovanni Silvestri. She is survived by her loving son Dr. Mario G. Silvestri and fiance Toni Andreasen, her grandson Lorenzo, who was the love of her life. Several nieces nephews and cousins both in the U.S. and Italy including special nephew Gino (Diane) Fiacco, and, in Italy, niece Valeria (Vittorio) Minna. Also, her faithful feline, “Baby Cat”, aka, “Kitty.” Agnes immigrated to the U.S. in 1947 and immediately worked in the EJ Corporation as a shoe stitcher for the next 41 years retiring in 1987. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother to her family and many others. She loved to cook and feed her family and anyone that walked through the door. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home 511 - 513 East Main Street Endicott followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony of Padua church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
