Barry Barker

Barry E. Barker, 71, of Endicott passed away Thursday September 14, 2017, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier after a short illness. He was pre deceased by his father Byron Barker, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Louis and Martha Ciavarella. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Marsha (Ciavarella) Barker, his children Jeff Barker, Kristen Barker (Joe Seaman), LeAnn Baker, and Joe Barker (Rebecca), seven grandchildren Kyle, Hunter, Dalton, Joshua, Emma, Anthony, and Andrew, his mother Jean Barker. Barry is also survived by his siblings and their spouses; Linda Barker, Michael Barker, Brian (Donna) Barker, Rick (Shelley) Barker, Tim Barker, Patricia (Ray) Juriga, and also several nieces and nephews, many close friends too many to mention. He was his children and grandchildren’s biggest fan. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Steve Malkin, Dr. Joseph Readling and Broome Oncology, Tony Ross and Mercy House for their continuing support and care during this difficult time. Thank you to Sophia and Dave Kenyon and John Davis for making Barry’s life a little easier for the past couple of weeks. Barry was a graduate of Binghamton North High, a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the Crusin Buddies, an avid golfer and bowler, and a classic car collector, a retired Union Endicott school bus driver, and a retired Teamster. Barry loved his Fantasy Football! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday 7 pm from The Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street Endicott with Father Clarence Rumble officiating. The family will receive friends at the memorial home on Monday from 4 pm until service time at 7 pm. The family requests no flowers and that you consider all donations to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
