Charles “Chuck” Blodgett

Charles (Chuck) B. Blodgett, 85, of Apalachin, passed away peacefully with loving family by his side at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Wednesday, December 18, 2013. He was predeceased by his brother Jim. He is survived by his wife Vivian (Jean) Blodgett; two daughters Charlene (Terry) Bish, Brewerton, NY and Darlene (Ken) Wintersteen, Owego; two sons Michael (Ann) Blodgett, Owego and David (Mari) Blodgett, Endicott; his grandchildren Jonathon; Kimberly; Stacey; Eric; Michael; Jessica; Jeffrey; Mary; Karen; Andrea; Tyler; Andrew and Robert; seven great grandchildren Kadence; Gaige; Calleigh; Jon; Kyle; Liam and Drew; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. He attended First Presbyterian Church, Endicott, was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Bowen Block after 48 years of service. Charles was a self-employed mason. His work can be seen throughout the Southern Tier. Charles enjoyed gardening and treasured his time with family. The family would like to thank The Lourdes ICU for the loving care shown to Chuck and us during this time.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday at 1:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 29 Grant Street, Endicott. Service will be from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, followed by another visitation time until 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
