Elwood “Woody” Erbstoeszer

Elwood C. “Woody” Erbstoeszer, 101, of Endwell passed away on Thursday March 29, 2018. Woody was a unique man. He was the most pleasant and fun loving person. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was an Endicott Rotary member for over 50 yrs. He was retired from IBM. He volunteered at the BC Open and then the DSGO until he was 98 years old. Woody was predeceased by his first wife Betty and his only child, Steven. He then married Lenelda (Nellie) and inherited three stepchildren and their families. We have loved and enjoyed him since he joined our family. He is survived by Donald and Sara Kinch, Gary and Marian Kinch, Linda and Bob Cragle and nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. We will truly miss him. Thank you to Dr. Harris, Susie and Sara at Endwell Family Physicians for their many years of great care. Thank you to Absolut Care and all their great care for the last month. Special thanks to his roommate at Absolut, Jim Wayman, for watching out for him.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend David C. Seaver officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 10 am until service time at 11 am.
