Helen Gance

Helen (Kovarik) Gance, 93, of Endicott passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Chris J. Gance in 2009, her parents, Steve and Lydia Kovarik and her sisters, Geraldine Grabowski and Mary Ann Snedaker. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Dr. Orest Wasyliw and Christy and Gary Ksenak, her grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer (Kirk) Dembowski, Dr. Christopher (Jane) Wasyliw, Michael Wasyliw, Melissa (Ryan) Leneis, and Brian (Erin) Ksenak, great-grandchildren, Laura Dembowski, Eva Wasyliw,Ivy, Isaiah, and Stephen Ksenak, and Sienna Leneis, three sisters, Ann (George) Machiaverna, Bernadine Antalek, and Stephanie Tambeau, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott. Helen was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who demonstrated her love and devotion on a daily basis. She was an excellent seamstress, creating beautiful clothing for her daughters and grandchildren. We all enjoyed the delicious meals and desserts that she lovingly prepared for her family and friends. We will miss her very much.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday 10 am from Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10:30 am. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 9 to 10 am.
