James “Jim” Tomlinson

CWO James (Jim) Tomlinson, beloved soldier, husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon. He is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 30 years, Pat Tomlinson. His sister Cathy and Tom Chenoweth. His loving children Dan and Mary Tokos, Steve and Joy Tokos, and Joe and Kathy Tomlinson. His grandchildren Josh and Nicole Tokos, Nick Tokos and Rachelle, Eric Tokos and Jana, Angela and Colin Williams, Julie Tomlinson, and Zach Tomlinson. His many great grandchildren Alexis, Tessa, Ashlyn, Bella, Jackson, Hailey, Austin, and Olivia. Jim was a Chief Warrant Officer in the US Army, served two tours in Vietnam and served his country for twenty one years. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of Broome County and a loyal member of the Union Center United Methodist Church. Jim was a generous, loving person, who enjoyed being with his family, especially spending time with his great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 10 am at Union Center United Methodist Church, 128 Maple Drive, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Thursday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to The Organization of Vietnam Veterans, P.O. Box 905, Binghamton, NY 13902 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
