Marie "Nonna" Roma

Marie “Nonna” Roma, 83, of Endicott, passed away on September 27, 2024. Marie was born 1941, the daughter of Anthony and Mae Cavese. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo, whom she married in 1965 and loved unconditionally.
Marie is survived by her cherished daughters, Angela (Christopher) Toth, and Lora (Scott) Koons, the joys of her life, granddaughters Katelyn and Kristen Toth and grandson Thomas Koons. She is also survived by a sister Joanne Sorensen and brother Joseph (Mary) Cavese; several special nieces, nephews, sister and brothers in-law, cousins, and dear friends.

She retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy with 30 years of service, and was a member of Daughters of Columbus Lodge #1666, Endicott. Marie loved spending winters in Florida and took many trips to Italy. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and going to the casino. As a devoted mother, Marie encouraged love, tradition, and Christianity to her family by example.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday, October 2, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Wednesday, October 2 from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
