Ralph Parsons

Ralph Elliot Parsons, 70, of Longmont, Colorado passed away early Friday morning, March 7, 2014. Ralph was born June 4, 1943 in Marathon, New York; the youngest son of Howard and Marguerite Parsons. Ralph graduated from of Marathon High School, and then enrolled at Hartwick College where he received a BA in Chemistry. Ralph married and helped raise three wonderful children, John, Megan and James. He later married his 2nd wife Patamaporn, in Chiang Mai, Thailand where they lived briefly, before relocating to Longmont, CO. Ralph worked as an engineer, a manager, and an executive for several different companies including over 25 years for International Business Machines (IBM). He later went to work for Innovex, Inc., Thailand, where he met his wife, Patamaporn. Ralph enjoyed working on his 1972 Corvette, which he restored, as well as playing golf and spending his time with his wife. Ralph is survived by his wife, Patamaporn Parsons, and his three children, John and Alysen (Cornell), Afton, NY; Megan Mercy (Parsons) and Brian, Glenville, NY and James Parsons and Jill (Kraleman), O’Fallon, MO. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Ella Parsons, Ronan Mercy, Cooper and Carter Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Marguerite Parsons, his sister, Patricia Parsons and his brother, Lawrence Parsons
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Wednesday from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org.
